Restaurant Ibid is the brainchild of MaterChef Asia winner Woo Wai Leong, serving up contemporary Chinese cuisine. Simplicity was the key for the styling, to keep the dishes as the focus of the shoot and let the images do the talking. Hence, we kept the styling minimal, with accents of existing ingredients to highlight the cuisine’s flavours, along with small touches of Chinese props and saucers to portray the restaurant’s Oriental roots. Finally, we played around with marble tabletops, earth tone materials, wood and porcelain serve ware to create a visual variation of textures.
