Sourbombe is the innovative mashup of sourdough and Italian Bombolini (โBombโ shaped doughnuts stuffed with pastry cream) but with an artisanal twist. The brainchild of Gen Lee in collaboration with our director C.R Tan, this branding project was conceptualised within a short timeframe of 2 months (during the circuit breaker no less).
With sourdough bombolini at the forefront, we aspired to create a brand that was fun and quirky, hip and trendy. To achieve this, a witty brand voice with โbombeโ puns and bright pop colours were used in the design and packaging. Accordingly, vibrant hues and harsh lighting were used in the photography to bring out the delicious flavour profiles of each Sourbombe.

Itโs been 3 years since Butler Koffee was launched but the COVID-19 pandemic brought about certain challenges where the mobile cart could not operate. Our solution: Cold Brew bottles available for delivery!
This provided a new opportunity for us to relook the branding of Butler Koffee and we decided to revamp it a little, keeping it fun and quirky with vibrant minimalist curves and while still retaining the original charm of Butlerโs sincere, warm persona.

Luzerne Global is a modern heritage brand that specialised in ceramics and tableware in Singapore. A returning client of ours, they requested for a shoot to showcase their latest collection of tableware with various themes. Some of these themes include lifestyle and mood shots table gatherings, plated food shots to showcase individual productsโ texture and patterns, as well as an oriental theme to showcase their range of Chinese-inspired Tao collection.

Leckerbaer is a gourmet cafรฉ serving cookies and pastries in the รsterbro district of Copenhagen. Theyโre all about the re-invention of Danish butter cookies and are well-known in the Scandinavian Michelin-Star scene.
As part of Leckerbaerโs official launch in Singapore, we were invited to shoot their extensive selection of Smรฅkager favourites as well as their Lemon & sea buckthorn tart. To keep the focus on the Danish butter cookies, we opted for a minimal style and natural tones to highlight the brand ethos of their cookies decorated with the heart and soul of the chef.

To showcase Singaporeโs incredible array of dining and lifestyle offerings, we were commissioned by Singapore Tourism Board to shoot the stunning and exquisite dishes from a series of Michelin restaurants including Les Amis, Zen, Basque, Cheek Bistro and Meta. Using the table cropping method, we were able to add a certain dimension to the images. Clean and classic cutleries and tableware of each restaurant were used to draw immediate attention to the dishes itself.

Magnum is a world-renowned ice cream and dessert brand that embraces individuality and the idea of โPleasure Seekersโ. Working with, Magnum Singapore, we were tasked to produce a lookbook series for their Summer, Christmas and Womenโs Day collection. Each Magnum popsicle was custom designed with matching backdrops to elevate the overall look and feel of the individual theme.

Located in 5-star hotel InterContinental Singapore, Idlewild is a destination cocktail bar inspired by the golden age of air travel. To celebrate their newly launched menu, we were commissioned to shoot a series of cocktails and beverages curated by their mixologist. To complement the drinks with the interior decor, we kept it simple by using the barโs interior lighting and multi-textured tabletops. The end resultโ elegant photographs with nostalgic cinematics of yesteryears.

So France, Le Bistro-Epicerie is a leading French restaurant and grocery store, serving up authentic French Fare and products from various regions in France. To welcome their new executive chef, Nicolas Drouglaret, we were commissioned to shoot a series of portraits along with lifestyle images of their dishes to be featured in their restaurant and marketing collaterals. Several of their signature dishes were featured in hero shots, while others were styled in a flat lay for bigger group shots. Elements of the restaurant interior and decor was also utilised to create a sense of branding consistency

Neo Garden is an established caterer, known for its wide selection of local and international fare, serving at parties and functions around Singapore for the past 20 years. For the festive season, Neo Garden launched a Christmas feast of traditional yuletide dishes as well as fusion delights. The client wanted to appeal to the younger crowd with bright colours and a modern aesthetic. Hence, we opted for pastel tones as the backgrounds, throwing in coloured powder inspired by the Indian festival of Holi. Geometric wood blocks and props were specially customized and painted to add to the modern Bauhaus effect of the shoot.

Moonstone Bar/Mason Kitchen is a hipster bar and โmodern community centreโ located at Telok Ayer that specialises in elevated Asian street food and cocktails. The bar is envisioned as an unpretentious space that brings patrons together over hearty food and drinks. The art direction utilized the existing eclectic elements of the bar, with porcelain Chinese tableware and utensils to accentuate the Asian elements. Traditional tiles and simple backdrops were used to bring the focal point back to the colours of the dishes and cocktails.

Grand Hyattโs Great Taste Awards gathers the top chefs of the groupsโ esteemed hotels to put their culinary skills to the test. This round, 18 chefs across Southeast Asia are given 6 hours and 4 mystery ingredients to create a dish to wow the judges and emerge as champion of the Southeast Asia semifinals.
The brief of the project was to film the process of the contestants from start to finish, as well as the tasting session and award ceremony. To match the intensity and heat of the competition, heartpounding rhythmic music is used, as well as fast moving edits to emphasize the fast pace of the event. Lightbox photography was also a component, to capture the final dish of each contestant.

To showcase Grand Hyatt Singaporeโs best contemporary Western & Asian Cusine, the art direction was to create a communal dining concept for their hero shot. We also used dark tone backdrops and wood-textured surfaces to allow individuals dishes to stand out. With the natural light setting, we were able to capture attention-grabbing images to entice the senses.

In line with Tiger Beerโs Street Food campaign, we were commissioned to shoot a series of images, aimed at promoting our local hawker heritage. The brief was to style and shoot iconic local street food with a modem, elevated touch. Every single prop and tableware was carefully selected to complement the texture and colours of each dish. Paired with fresh draught tiger beer, the series effectively captured the essence of Singapore Hawker dining.

Poulet+ โs menu reflects contemporary French cuisine filled with local flavours. The art direction was to showcase the vibrant colours of these dishes, presenting them in a clean way. We made use of simple concrete bases for the colours of the food to pop. We also sourced for several porcelain bowls, plates and saucers to complement the contemporary style.

The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. is a Singapore heritage tea brand located in ION Orchard. In line with their revamped Tea Bar menu, we were commissioned to shoot a series of lifestyle shots to highlight their star products of Tea Lattes and pastries. We kept the tone bright and the style minimal, opting for light grey, white and marble backdrops, allowing the milk teas and pastries to shine as the subject.

Kรผhlbarra is a leading supplier of Barramundi in Singapore, farming their prized fish on our local shores and delivering their supplies to esteemed restaurants around the island while also retailing their fish in-stores and online. To grow their social media presence, Kรผhlbarra works closely with their restaurant clientele to feature their products in unique recipes to inspire their customers to try these dishes at the restaurants or recreate it at home.
As part of Kรผhlbarraโs marketing efforts, we were commissioned to shoot and style dishes from Kรผhlbarraโs clientele: Lokkee, Salted & Hung as well as Thomson Medical Centre. The brief was to keep the styling minimal so that the focus would be on the dish, with a further emphasis on the fish skin and side profile featured. To differentiate between the various restaurants, interior elements were used as the backdrop/surfaces for closer association. As for Thomson Medical Centre, a clean and bright styling approach was used to place emphasis on the healthy meals provided for patients.

Konjac Express is a healthier choice bowl created by NTUC Foodfare. We went for a clean styling with soft light against marble backdrops to accentuate the bright hues of their fresh, hearty dishes.

A long-term client of ours, we were thrilled when Guinness approached us to shoot their Guinness Mooncake collection. Complementing the obsidian hues of their signature stout brew, the natural decision was to employ dark tones with hints of gold to create an element of mystery for their mooncake collection.
Additionally, we were tasked to style and shoot Guinnessโ exclusive collaboration with a Chinese restaurant. A total of 3 dishes and a portrait chef image was shot and styled, featuring delectable recipes which infuse Guinness signature stout.
Colonial Club

Located in the heart of Orchard Road, Colonial Clubโs menu reflects pays tribute to Singaporeโs heritage as a British Colony, serving a myriad of local dishes with a refreshing British Twist. Here, familiar dishes of local hawker food is given a royal treatment, cooked with familiar flavours and presented elegantly. The brief was simple, to showcase the vibrant colours of these dishes, presenting it in a way that was new and refreshing yet rooted in an iconic Singaporean identity.
To achieve this, we made use of simple concrete and marble bases so that the colours of the food could easily speak for itself, creating natural contrast for it to shine. We also sourced for traditional serveware, porcelain bowls, plates and saucers commonly used in households or local restaurants. Finally, we utilised the decor of Colonial Club itself so that the menu could be tied back to the restaurant.
As for the menu design, the emphasis was used on the pictures so that customers could easily and quickly make a decision based on the dynamic shots. The vision was to keep it clean and simple, without too much distraction from the images. Finally, a Peranakan-inspired art deco frame was used for the cover to further accentuate the East meets West/local heritage concept.

Located in the heart of Novena District, Courtyard by Marriott Singapore is a 4-star hotel with views of Singaporeโs skyline. The brief was simple, to capture their wide array of dishes in the most authentic and clean form. To achieve this, we used marble and granite-textured backdrops. To add visual interest to the dishes, we used neutral linen napkins layered under a plate to enhance the overall look.
